Statement of Privacy Western Pension & Benefits Council San Diego Chapter (WP&BC San Diego) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Statement of Privacy applies to WP&BC San Diego web site and governs data collection and usage at all WP&BC San Diego sites and services; it does not apply to other online or offline sites, products or services. Please read the WP&BC San Diego Statement of Privacy. WP&BC San Diego is a general audience web site, intended for users of all ages. Collection of your Personal Information As an E-commerce web site and as a membership organization, WP&BC San Diego collects personal information, such as your e-mail address, name, home or work address or telephone number. WP&BC San Diego does not collect any information about your computer hardware and software. WP&BC San Diego maintains membership data and records in a variety of ways, including offline databases and an online roster. Membership data includes telephone numbers, email addresses and physical mailing addresses. When you become a member of WP&BC San Diego, this contact information will be published in the online roster. The online roster is available to all members of all chapters of the Western Pension & Benefits Council (WP&BC.) WP&BC San Diego does not sell, rent or lease its customer lists to third parties. WP&BC San Diego may, from time to time, contact you on behalf of other WP&BC chapters about a particular offering that may be of interest to you. In those cases, your personal information is not transferred to the third party. WP&BC San Diego will provide your contact information (name, email address, physical mailing address) to the American Society of Pension Professionals & Actuaries (ASPPA) for the purpose of informing you about the annual Western Benefits Council, jointly sponsored by WP&BC and ASPPA each summer. ASPPA is required to maintain the confidentiality of your information and is prohibited from using that information for any other purpose. WP&BC San Diego does not use or disclose sensitive personal information, such as race, religion, or political affiliations, without your explicit consent. WP&BC San Diego may access and/or disclose your personal information if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to: (a) conform to the edicts of the law or comply with legal process served on WP&BC San Diego or the site; (b) protect and defend the rights or property of WP&BC San Diego, including its web site; or (c) act under exigent circumstances to protect the personal safety of users of WP&BC San Diego or the public.
